My first senior football fixture as match photographer.
Preparation started before kick-off — studying match positioning and timing through the work of Ian Horrocks and Premier League coverage.
On the pitch, it’s about anticipation and trust in instinct.

When I came across Shapes in Tales ✨ at the Hexham Christmas Market here in Northumberland, something felt instantly familiar.
The geometry and warmth of the pieces reminded me of summers in Mariupol — my hometown by the Azov Sea, shaped deeply by Greek heritage, where many families carried Greek roots and connections.
Later, I learned the designer`s name: Maria. Mari — the beginning of Mariupol. A small coincidence, but a beautiful one.
Design has a quiet way of connecting places and memories.

That`s what I look for in branding photography — work that carries meaning without needing to explain itself.
